DiscussFlickrInkify > Known Issues

These are the things that I know about:

It only fetches the 100 most recent images from Flickr. This is the way that it works, in that the idea is that you only want to blog about new pictures. Handing further navigation is possible though.

When you upload a new, annotated, image, it might not appear in your browse list for a little while. This is because there seems to be a lag between posting new images and the Flickr API letting you find them.

At the moment all the uploading and downloading is done on the same thread as the main program. This might mean that it pauses for a few seconds during these actions.

Hi Rob,

I downloaded and installed the three files for the Live Writer Flickr Inkify plug-in into the plug-in folder last night, but when I start up Live Writer nothing happens. The plug-in does not appear in the Insert drop down window.

Cheers,

Tom

Oh. It is not terribly helpful to tell you that it works OK for me. But it does. Make sure that the files really are in the right directory:

C:\Program Files\Windows Live Writer\Plugins

- if you put it in any other place it won't work. They should be in that directory, and not in a subdirectory there. I'm in the middle of writing a proper installer which will hopefully sort things out. The only other thing I can think of is if your program files directory is on another drive (I had a windows version on drive E: once) in which case it might not be finding the right version.

Sorry about that Rob,

I unzipped with Winzip and it installed the files in their own sub-file.

Thanks for the great plug-in, it's working perfectly.

Cheers,

Tom
