It was, apparently, created by the same gentlemen that was responsible for Buffy the vampire slayer and Angel (two of my childhood favourites) so i guess it can't be all bad.

Just watched it; here's my review.

A finely written saga of dwarves and elves, fearsome goblins and trolls...an epic of travel, magical adventure, all working up to a devastating climax.
