Continuing a tradition of over thirty years, I present my Red Nose Day Lecture in Rhyme for 2021. I’ll be doing the lecture live online for the first time. It is on Friday the 19th of March at 7:00pm. It would be lovely to see you there. As usual, there will be some technical content as I show you how to make your own ambient computing installation. There will also be a lot of silliness, plus some remote controlled slapstick:

  •  Learn how to make lights come on in your own house, or somebody else's using the awesome power of JSON, MQTT and Connected Little Boxes and the cloud.

  • Target Rob with the Connected Little Custard Pie Canon.

  • Bid in the "Thing Auction" where you can buy the only "Connected Little Red Nose Day Sign" in the world. Among other things.

  • And there will be cheese puns. Lots of Cheese Puns.

The event will be live streamed by those wonderful people at Dot Net North with extra hosting duties from the estimable Pete Vickers who is not sure what he has let himself in for. Come along, support an excellent cause and have a few (or maybe more if someone aims the canon correctly) laughs.
